The director of the film Gurudath clarifies the differences in the New and Old Khaidi films. Director Gurudath says, "I have only been inspired by the title 'Khaidi'. The story of my film is totally different. In fact, it is based on series of real incidents, given that the tagline of the film is 'System error'. The story is about how the political and judicial systems are exploiting people and how the youth get trapped in vicious circles. I have references for every element in this film."
